Due to the COVID restrictions, many families had to face number restrictions at their loved ones funeral.


At times, this has meant that family members and friends could not attend in person to pay their respects. This is a crucial part of the grieving process and I understand how difficult these restrictions have been for so many.


Also, the rise in people choosing direct cremations has also left some family members and friends feeling as if they are stuck within their grief journey and longing for an opportunity to say goodbye in a way that feels right for them.


A memorial ceremony allows you to hold a celebration of life for your loved one. A ceremony where everyone can attend and music, readings, photos and other contributions can be included. 


A memorial ceremony is also a perfect option for a person who was well known within their community as it allows the family to have a more private funeral followed by a celebration of life ceremony for everyone to attend at a later date.


These ceremonies can be held wherever feels right for you; in a garden, pub, memorial hall, family home etc.
